Role Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate GP Referral Exercise Instructor to join our Health and Wellbeing team at Windsor. This role plays a key part in supporting individuals referred by healthcare professionals to become more active, manage long-term conditions, and improve their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, personalised exercise sessions to individuals referred through the GP Exercise Referral Scheme.
- Carry out health assessments, screenings, and consultations to design tailored fitness programmes.
- Monitor and adapt client progress, ensuring their safety and motivation throughout.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with programme requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Health and Wellbeing Manager, other team members, and external healthcare partners to provide a seamless referral experience.
- Champion the service within the community and help promote its benefits to new clients.
- Uphold Leisure Focus values and contribute to a supportive, customer-focused environment.
Essential
About You
- Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or Level 4
- Experience delivering physical activity to individuals with medical or long-term conditions
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured, goal-driven way
- Passion for improving lives through physical activity and lifestyle change.
Desirable
- Additional qualifications in specialist populations (e.g. cardiac rehab, postural stability, cancer rehab)
- Experience in community health or leisure settings.
- First Aid qualification.

The position of GP Referral exercise Instructor is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure.
