Windsor Leisure Centre is seeking a General Manager to lead the development of the centre and expand the Leisure Focus business. The successful candidate will report to the Contract Manager and play a key role in shaping the culture, direction, and success of this flagship leisure facility.
The General Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care within the Centre.
- Developing and promoting an exciting, innovative leisure programme to increase usage and profitability.
- Assuming shift management responsibility to maximise performance and maintain high customer care standards.
- Assisting in financial planning and budget setting to maximise profitability.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Creating and executing strategic and operational plans.
- Providing clear direction and guidance to the team.
- Maintaining adherence to legal, regulatory, ethical, and social standards.
- Driving and delivering change initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with stakeholders.
- Overseeing budgets and financial resources for all departments.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining cleanliness at the Leisure Centre.
- Carrying out Health and Safety procedures.
- Providing staff training and development.
- Identifying new activities for the Centre.
- Assisting in marketing and publicity of activities and events.
- Ensuring sufficient staff availability for safe operations.
- Driving revenue and controlling expenditure to meet monthly targets.
- Undertaking other duties as required to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
- Skills in analysing business issues and creating marketing plans.
- Experience in preparing and presenting project reports.
- Ability to influence and motivate staff.
- Strong deadline management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Knowledge of leisure centre operations, programming, and finances.

Qualifications:
- A recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Project Management, or a related subject is desirable.
- Knowledge and skills in the leisure industry are preferred.
- A First Aid at Work Qualification is required.
- A recognised Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable or must be obtained within a set period if not held.
- DBS Disclosure is required for this regulated post.
