Fitness Instructor

Location: Braywick Leisure Centre
Contract Type: Full Time
Salary: £26,538.48
Reports to: Fitness Manager

About the Role

Leisure Focus is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fitness Instructor to join our team at Braywick Leisure Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about health, fitness, and customer service to play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for our members and supporting them in achieving their fitness goals. You will be responsible for supervising the gym floor, supporting members, delivering inductions, and contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming gym environment
  • Conduct gym inductions and fitness assessments
  • Support members with safe and effective use of equipment
  • Deliver basic fitness programmes tailored to individual needs
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the fitness suite
  • Monitor member engagement and proactively offer support
  • Promote memberships, classes, and additional services
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification (essential)
  • Level 3 Personal Training (desirable)
  • First Aid qualification (desirable or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a fitness environment (preferred)

DBS

The position of Fitness Instructor is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure. The post holder must be submitted for a DBS check if they do not already hold a DBS Disclosure.
