As a Senior Recreation Assistant, you will be guided by the values to lead by example and inspire your team every shift to ensure the highest standards of delivery at all times.

Come and join our Leisure Focus Senior Recreation Assistant team. This role is pivotal to the operations of our leisure centres. Managing and inspiring a large team of recreational assistants day to day, ensuring our customers have the best customer journey from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Our Senior Recreation Assistants are forward thinking and passionate about leading their team, ensuring all the team members are developed to their full potential. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the lifeguard team & regular pool rotations.
  • Comply with H&S procedures and standards of the centre.
  • Supervising and cleaning the pool area.
  • Setting up equipment.
  • Deliver first-class customer service.
  • Deal with customer queries.
  • When not poolside you will be a key support to your team on a daily basis from preparing Studios, Gyms or Sports Halls for various activities to the general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification.
  • Has knowledge and skills in the Leisure or a related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
  • Has a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or previously held one and is able and willing to achieve the qualification.

The position of Senior Recreational Assistant is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure which will be carried out by Leisure Focus.
