We're looking for an experienced Mobile Optical Dispensing Assistant to support our practices across Hampshire. If you enjoy working with people, have a passion for eyewear and thrive in a varied role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
This isn't your typical practice-based role. You'll travel between Leightons locations, bringing exceptional service, optical expertise and styling advice to patients across the region.

The Role
As a Mobile Optical Dispensing Assistant, you'll help patients find frames they love, lenses that suit their lifestyle and solutions that improve both their vision and confidence.
You’ll:
- Guide patients through frame and lens selection
- Deliver an exceptional and personalised customer experience
- Support spectacle dispensing and fittings
- Take accurate measurements and complete optical orders
- Assist with frame adjustments and repairs
- Support pre-screening and clinical procedures
- Promote our optical and hearing care services
- Work closely with teams across multiple Leightons practices
Travel Requirement
This is a mobile role supporting Leightons practices across the region. You'll be expected to travel to practices within approximately 90 minutes (1.5 hours) of your home address, providing support where it is needed most. Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to travel are essential.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- A minimum of 12 months' experience working within an optical practice or optical retail environment
- Previous optical dispensing experience, including frame styling, frame selection and lens recommendations
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence working across different locations and teams
