About the Role
To develop visually compelling and innovative designs across various platforms, including print, POS, local marketing, animation, digital and advertising. Translate and develop our brand identity into unique concepts to ensure the final design aligns to business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing concepts: Create new design concepts or develop existing ones in an original way
- Working with a mobile and social-first approach, to deliver fully integrated campaign ideas
- Create designs: use design software to create layouts, select colours, fonts and images
- Guidelines: develop brand and visual guidelines
- Content strategy: work closely with the wider team to produce and deliver engaging photography and videography content
- Collaborating with teams: Working with marketing, creative, sales, and other teams to develop campaigns and take wider teams on the journey
- Building relationships: Working with cross functional teams, external agencies and partners
- Project management: managing multiple projects, prioritising tasks to deliver
- Communicating results: Present ideas to the wider team
- Competitors: identify consumer trends which could impact future campaigns and analyse competitor activity
- Stay updated with the latest media trends, tools and techniques
- Marketing efficiencies: implementation of a briefing and approval process for visual requests across the business
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in design, illustration or marketing communication
- Professional certifications e.g. Chartered Institute of marketing (CIM)
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity
- Strong video editing, motion design and animation knowledge
- Demonstrate proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc), and other design tools
- Have strong knowledge of digital design, typography, colour theory and branding principles
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of UX and UI principles
- Experience with CMS platforms and content uploading
- Familiarity with email marketing software
- Project management experience
