About the Role
As a Hearing Care Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our practice, supporting private hearing services with a balance of clinical excellence and operational flair.
Clinical Duties
-Carry out otoscopy and Tympa-based assessments
-Deliver Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) screenings
-Conduct hearing aid reviews and routine maintenance
-Perform ear wax removal (microsuction, irrigation & manual)
-Take aural impressions
-Support patients with empathy and clear communication
-Work under the guidance of an HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser
Practice Engagement & Development
-Assist with team training and cross-referrals
-Build partnerships with local GPs, pharmacies & communities
-Help manage appointment scheduling to maximise the HAD’s time
Operational Responsibilities
-Maintain high standards in line with healthcare regulations
-Ensure Health & Safety compliance
-Represent THCP with professionalism in both appearance and conduct
What You’ll Need
-Qualified Hearing Care Assistant
-Previous experience working in a customer facing environment and in a healthcare setting
-GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade C or higher)
-A full UK driving license and the ability to travel between locations
-Eligibility to work in the UK, and availability for the specified days
