An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Client Relationship Manager to join the Business Development & Marketing function of a leading global law firm, working within a culture built on collaboration, innovation and inclusivity, to provide support to their Private Capital practice.
The successful applicant will be welcomed into a globally diverse and friendly business development and marketing team. The team works closely with lawyers to create, develop and execute BD and marketing initiatives to deliver the firm’s strategy and works with the business to sell the firm’s expertise to clients and generate revenue for the firm.
The work is always varied and you will benefit from meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders and substantial opportunities for learning and long-term professional growth. You will play a key role in delivering the firm’s Clients & Sectors strategy for Private Capital.
Working closely with relationship partners and senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of global, cross-border Private Capital clients operating across multiple sectors and jurisdictions, requiring a coordinated, strategic and relationship-led approach. The role will be central to deepening client relationships, converting growth opportunities and delivering a consistently high-quality client experience informed by insight, data and structured feedback.
As a trusted advisor to partners and client teams, the Client Relationship Manager will lead strategic business development across the portfolio, using a strong understanding of client businesses, market dynamics and external data to identify white-space opportunities and target complex, high-margin work. Drawing on the firm’s sector, practice and knowledge infrastructure, the role holder will ensure the firm remains front of mind with key Private Capital clients through proactive, targeted engagement aligned to client priorities.
The role holder will lead client account management, developing and executing action-oriented account plans focused on cross-selling, origination and long-term value. You will track performance against key KPIs and facilitate structured client feedback, ensuring insights are acted upon and communicated back to clients. You will be expected to champion best practice in account management, share insight on emerging trends and support continuous improvement in client delivery.
Operationally, the role will also lead client onboarding, support the adoption of Salesforce and ensure high-quality CRM data to drive transparency and informed decision-making. Collaborative, credible and highly organised, with strong influencing and communication skills and a pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset, the ideal candidate will bring significant experience in client development, key account management and relationship-led business development gained within a legal or professional services environment.
You will have a proven track record of identifying strategic opportunities, supporting the winning of work from Private Capital clients and operating confidently in client-facing roles, including the delivery of client listening and feedback initiatives. Commercially astute and data-literate, the Client Relationship Manager will thrive in a matrix environment, demonstrate a deep understanding of financial services business models and profitability drivers, and bring a genuine commitment to continually improving processes, relationships and the overall client experience.
