An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Business Development & Marketing team of one of the world’s leading law firms to support the Finance practice and related initiatives in the firm’s London and European offices.

The role holder will be joining a collegial, collaborative and diverse firm where highly motivated individuals with an unwavering commitment to excellence receive the opportunity, support and development they need to grow, thrive and realise their greatest potential.

You will enjoy a broad role with involvement in a wide variety of business development and marketing activities. Working primarily to support lawyers in the firm's Finance practice, you will develop and support the implementation of Business Development & Marketing business plans, focused on priorities outlined by the firm’s leaders.

The successful applicant will prepare reports on clients, markets, trends and developments and lead, manage and contribute to responses to RFPs, pitches and presentations, liaising with the global Business Development & Marketing team to ensure content and brand consistency.

On the marketing side, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing thought leadership and marketing campaigns to raise the profile of the industry group across platforms, will support the management of a variety of events, including seminars, webinars and sponsorships, and must ensure key marketing materials are kept up to date.

The successful applicant will be a proactive graduate or equivalent with solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills and previous experience in business development and marketing gained within an international professional services firm. Enthusiastic and confident, the Business Development Manager will need strong organisational abilities, excellent written and oral communications skills and good attention to detail.

In addition you will need the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines with shifting priorities. Familiarity with research techniques and databases typically used for competitive intelligence in professional services and some experience of operational budget management and reporting is highly desirable, whilst any previous Finance experience will be advantageous.
