The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
This role will sit within the firm’s Strategic Bids Team for Europe, Middle East and Asia, working as part of a high-performing, successful team alongside lawyers and business services colleagues to win and retain the firm’s most important mandates. You will be dual focused, working on both multi-jurisdictional panel and strategic transactional bids to contribute to the strategic growth of the firm. You will own the entire bids process from qualification through to submission and follow up, and will produce client focused high-quality bids. The successful applicant will ensure all bids are delivered efficiently, consistently and professionally, working with lead partners and the client relationship team to develop an appropriate response strategy and ensuring a bespoke solution in terms of both client and sector. The Bid Manager will be responsible for facilitating scoping/kick-off calls and running all aspects of bid response, including planning, structure, format, content, messaging,
proofing and submission, and will provide project management and document control for all areas of the bid. A large focus of this role will be to work with the EMEA Head of Bids to champion, drive and embed best practice across business development and fee earners and you will be tasked with the provision of training and ad hoc coaching to business development colleagues to develop bid management skills. In addition, the role holder will manage housekeeping, updating bid systems for bid reporting and enhancing future content.
To fulfil the requirements of the role, you will need to be a commercial self-starter with unrivalled attention to detail, outstanding project management skills and a strong ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The Bid Manager will have proven bid management experience, working on multi-jurisdictional, multi-office, multi-practice area bid responses in a professional services environment, preferably in a legal services firm. With strong communication and influencing skills, the ideal candidate will be able to liaise confidently and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and create confidence with their approach.
