An established and well-respected building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Nailsea, near Bristol.

From early-stage design through to project delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical, commercial and client-facing experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The business is committed to developing its people, with opportunities for further training, professional qualifications, increased responsibility and long-term career progression.
The role
Working alongside the wider engineering team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting electrical building services design and engineering calculations
- Assisting with lighting, power, containment and associated electrical systems design
- Preparing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Participating in site surveys, inspections and project meetings
- Coordinating with mechanical engineers and wider multidisciplinary project teams
- Supporting projects from initial concept through to completion
- Developing your understanding of relevant regulations, technical standards and industry best practice
- Building your technical knowledge and confidence through practical project involvement and mentoring
About you
We’re interested in speaking with graduates and early-career engineers who have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a closely related discipline
- A genuine interest in electrical design and the built environment
- Good analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for learning and professional development
Previous experience within an engineering consultancy, placement year or relevant internship would be beneficial, but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
Some projects may require UK security clearance, so candidates will need to be able to satisfy the relevant clearance requirements where applicable.
Salary & benefits
- £28,000-£32,000 salary, dependent on experience and qualifications
- Hybrid working opportunities
- Strong employer pension contributions
- Private medical cover following the relevant qualifying period
- 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- Additional Christmas shutdown
- Exposure to varied projects across multiple sectors
- Ongoing technical training and professional development
- Support towards further qualifications
- Direct access to experienced engineers and senior management
- Genuine opportunities for progression as your experience develops
Interested?
Whether you’re approaching graduation, have recently completed your degree or are already gaining your first experience in electrical engineering, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
