We are seeking a highly competent and knowledgeable Lecturer to help us deliver outstanding teaching and learning on our Plastering Courses.
What we’re looking for:
- Industry recognised NVQ Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent) in Plastering
- Experience and knowledge of the Plastering industry, with site experience
- Holds a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards this)
- Holds an assessing qualification
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification also desirable
We are looking for someone with the confidence to share their experience and knowledge with our students, has a passion and desire to inspire others and strong communication skills. The successful Lecturer will be capable of sharing their knowledge with our students in an engaging and informative manner that demonstrates their passion for the subject.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and theory-based sessions aligned with the awarding body requirements, covering a variety of plastering knowledge and skills.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment materials and schedules in line with awarding body requirements and college standards.
- Carry out practical assessments and maintain learner portfolios.
- Provide support to learners in developing employability, teamwork and communication skills.
- Promote and support progression routes into Level 1 and Level 2 trade-specific qualifications or apprenticeships.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies.
- Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
