Leigh Academy Halley is now recruiting for a Design, Technology & Engineering Technician to join us in September 2026.
This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a passionate Technician to become part of a well-established, highly collaborative, and successful Design, Technology & Engineering team that works hard to ensure that students enjoy a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding curriculum. Students study Technology in Years 7-9 as part of our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, and the department offers a comprehensive range of subjects at GCSE in Key Stage 4, and as part of our Key Stage 5 provision. Our curriculum is enriched through our state-of-the-art Engineering and Design Centre which not only supports the development of our thriving STEM specialism but also gives students access to world-class learning facilities.

The salary for this position is £26,590 (£30,505 full-time equivalent), based on a 35-hour work week, term-time plus one week.
