Early Years Teaching Assistant Level 3 in North Leigh

This fixed-term Level 3 teaching assistant post supports early years learning in the EYFS nursery at Westleigh Methodist School, run by Epworth Education Trust. The core of the work is supporting young pupils and building strong working relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and other professionals. It is a part-time role across three days, Monday to Wednesday, in a Methodist church school with a strong Christian ethos. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the post is required from 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

What the job involves

• Support children in the EYFS nursery as a Level 3 teaching assistant
• Provide effective support to pupils through communication and interaction
• Work with parents and carers, colleagues and other professionals

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent

Experience

• Recent experience of working in primary education
• EYFS experience

• Knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND
• Excellent communication and interaction skills

• Calm and supportive manner
• Strong professional working relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and other professionals
