Leigh Stationers' Academy is looking for a dynamic School Staff Instructor (SSI) to be the backbone of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
The SSI works alongside the Contingent Commander to ensure our cadets thrive in a safe, high‑energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Westminster database, security clearances and recruitment.
- Oversee the MOD loan stores, grants and the CCF budget.
- Draft expert risk assessments and ensure every drill or exercise is compliant and secure.
- Keep the unit “spit and polish” for Biennial and Security inspections.
- Champion student welfare and safeguarding with a “warm‑strict” approach.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office and the Westminster system.
- Resilient and able to lead during camps and unsociable hours.
- First Aid, SAAI, Adventure Training qualifications or a D1 Minibus license (bonus points).
- Experience as a Combined Cadet Force Adult Volunteer (CFAV) or other disciplined leadership experience.
