Salary: Grade 3, £18,749 per annum. £13.26 per hour
2 positions x 32.5 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year
Required for as soon as possible 'Love and Learn with Jesus'. The Governing Body of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint LEVEL TWO TEACHING ASSISTANT to commence ASAP.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children of primary age with a passion for language and communication.
- Possess skills and knowledge of a wide range of additional needs such as sensory processing, social and communication needs, and speech and language needs.
- Have experience of working with/caring for children within specified age range/subject area (desirable).
- Have previous experience of working with young people of primary/secondary school age who may present with challenging behaviour and complex needs, preferably within an educational setting.
- Exhibit a nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
- Demonstrate the physical and emotional resilience to support students with complex needs, taking a non-judgemental approach.
- Support the class teacher to monitor student progress, ensuring their improved engagement with the school and their learning.
- Work in partnership with classroom teachers to differentiate appropriate interventions for students in relation to the curriculum.
- Work as part of a team using own initiative when needed.
- Participate in own professional development.
- Implement interventions in supporting social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Be very confident in supporting learners to achieve the very best outcomes.
- Be committed to learning that is fun, engaging and provides rapid development.
- Be skilled in supporting the learning of all pupils.
- Be a good communicator with adults, parents, and children.
