Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a one and half form entry school based in the town centre of Leigh. We are an integral part of the local community and are very family orientated with a strong Catholic ethos. We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. The children are extremely important to us and central to everything we do. We love to watch how the children grow into resilient, capable, thoughtful, confident young people ready for the next stage of their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a designated keyholder, maintain site security, carry out routine and reactive maintenance.
  • Operate heating and lighting systems, organise porterage and site support as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory health and safety checks.
  • Supervise contractors when necessary.
  • Ensure cleaning, housekeeping and grounds are maintained to an appropriate standard.
  • Work flexibly, respond to emergencies when required, comply fully with safeguarding, health and safety, security and confidentiality procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service and satisfactory references.
  • Requires compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, security, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexibly.
  • Support and uphold the Catholic ethos and mission of the school, contributing to a safe, welcoming and respectful environment.

Benefits:

  • Salary: Grade 4, £24,716 per annum.
  • Work hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeks, working 44 weeks per year.
  • Permanent position.
