Associate Solicitor – Clinical Negligence (NQ-2PQE)

Leigh Day, a top 100 claimant‑only law firm, is hiring a newly qualified solicitor with 0–2 years post‑qualification (PQE) to join its Clinical Negligence team.
- Direct experience in clinical negligence
- Knowledge of medicine and clinical negligence law
- Experience from initial advice to trial
- Understanding of calculating losses in Schedule of Loss
Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload across a broad range of clinical negligence matters
- Work alongside experienced practitioners in a claimant practice
- Handle cases including maternal health, birth injuries, brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries, delayed cancer diagnoses, GP negligence, child and adult fatal claims, radiological errors
- Deal sensitively with clients and experts, provide solutions, manage difficult situations
- Use IT packages (MS Word, Excel, Case Management Systems, Outlook)
Salary: £52,000 per annum.
