We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to perform accurate and timely bookkeeping, including data entry, bank and account reconciliations, supplier payments and financial statement preparation, within a highly regarded ACCA accredited Accountancy Practice in Coventry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate bookkeeping and data entry
  • Conduct bank and account reconciliations
  • Pay suppliers and prepare financial statements
  • Communicate with clients from various business sectors
  • Communicate with HMRC if required
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Use accountancy software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
  • Work in a full‑time office environment in Coventry

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Strong IT skills and experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks
  • Good communication skills, both telephone and email
  • AAT qualification or similar preferred; QBE acceptable
  • Preference for candidates with previous accountancy practice experience
