Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for the perfect place to plant your roots, we offer an environment where your professional growth is our priority.

Why Choose us?

We know that the first few years in the classroom are the most formative. That’s why we’ve built a culture that prioritises your development and wellbeing.

  • Outstanding ECT Support and Mentoring: You will be joining a structured induction programme. We provide dedicated mentors, regular coaching sessions, and strictly protected time to ensure you build the confidence and skills needed to master your classroom practice.
  • A Nurturing, Collaborative Culture: We pride ourselves on being a welcoming team. We value open communication and teamwork above all else. This is a safe space to ask questions, share ideas, and grow within a community that genuinely cares about your work-life balance.
  • High-Quality Professional Development: Growth doesn't stop after induction. You will have access to evidence-based CPD and ECT training fully aligned with the Early Career Framework. We offer clear, transparent pathways for career progression across the wider Trust.

If you are a motivated individual who wants to make a tangible difference in a supportive and forward-thinking academy, we would love to hear from you.

This is a fixed term role working 3 days per week on a Wednesday - Friday, offering MPS/UPS based on experience.

Note that whilst the position is offered on a maternity cover basis until March 2028, every effort will be made to offer a substantive position thereafter, either at Leigh Academy Hartley or within the wider family of academies across Leigh Academies Trust. The central Recruitment Team will keep in touch with you throughout your contract to discuss options available to you.
