Stores/Goods In Operative
Permanent, based at our site in Wickford
Are you an engineering stores or warehouse operative seeking a new challenge?
Would you be interested in working in a production environment where your role will be pivotal in ensuring our goods and services are produced efficiently, at the right cost and level of quality?
We are seeking a Stores/Goods-in Operative to join our production team in Wickford. This role is on a day shift, 40 hours per week (8am – 4.30pm).
Leidos supplies the automotive industry with special purpose tooling and equipment, including jigs and fixtures used in car manufacturing.
You’ll join a small team, playing a pivotal role in the production process, ensuring all materials and parts meet our standards upon receipt, and finished goods are shipped correctly.
Main Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the stores and goods in/out area.
- Packing, documentation, and shipping of products.
- Understand and adhere to the Quality Management System and Quality Brief.
- Receive materials, perform quality and quantity checks, and book them into the stock system.
- Assemble kits for production.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
About You
- Experience in an engineering stores or warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative to solve problems.
- Ability to challenge operational needs constructively to ensure resource efficiency.
Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.

Pay Range
£23,400.00 – £32,312.50
