Leidos has an excellent opportunity for a Storage Engineer - Senior supporting the Enterprise Level Information Technology Expertise (ELITE) contract in support of the United States European Command (USEUCOM) located at RAF Molesworth, UK. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
PROGRAM SUMMARY: Are you interested in continuing your career in Europe in a mission focused environment? Leidos has established positions throughout Europe supporting the ELITE program. We are looking for an experienced, innovative and motivated Storage Engineer to support the enablement of USEUCOM's mission objectives.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer the Storage environment (NetApp filer, Storage Grid and the Rubric Disaster recovery system) and the Virtual Infrastructure systems (Fabric Interconnect, UCS Chassis and ESXi blades as well as the vCenter, Aria suite of tools, with (VCF) Virtual Cloud Foundation and (VKS) Virtual Kubernetes Service, located at JAC Molesworth).
- Maintain and support the Virtual Server Infrastructure and Data Storage to include: Storage Filers; UCS chassis; Storage Grid; Rubrik; Hypervisors; Virtual Networks; and Data storage located at JAC Molesworth.
- Provide end users with the ability to store and retrieve files on shared and controlled-access storage media.
- Perform data replication and data deduplication IAW CCMD Enterprise Storage Procedures and NIST Standards.
- Meet or exceed Combatant Command goals for data center virtualization.
- Provide, manage, and operate virtualization services, to include virtualization infrastructure (VI), hardware, and middleware IAW current architectures.
- Test and integrate virtualized operating systems, middleware, and applications.
- Oversee day‑to‑day O&M operations, ensuring platform reliability, security compliance, and continuous availability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate with onsite SME teams to ensure rapid resolution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience administering and maintaining a storage environment consisting of NetApp filer, Storage Grid, and Rubrik Disaster Recovery system and virtual infrastructure systems consisting of Fabric Interconnect, UCS Chassis, and ESXi blades, vCenter, Aria suite of tools with VCF and VKS.
- Demonstrated background troubleshooting complex IT issues.
- Knowledge of DoD IA/Cybersecurity and IT regulations and guidance.
- Effective communication skills to work with colleagues to drive innovation and communicate capabilities to fellow team members, colleagues, management, and customer leadership.
- BA/BS & 5+ years recent specialized experience or AS with 7 years of recent specialized experience.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) and/or VMWare Certified Profession – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV).
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation certification.
- Rubrik Certified System Administrator (RCSA).
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, RMF, STIGs, or secure development practices.
