The Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Integration and Test Engineer working on a flagship programme in the UK. The role will include responsibility for designing, developing and maintaining test scripts and test reporting using both industry standard manual and automation test suites and custom developed frameworks. The testing process will follow a hybrid Waterfall and Agile development and release process that supports critical customer mission goals around National Security using manual and automated testing techniques and tools. This person will be responsible for conducting analysis of requirements and designs, and from this developing a risk‑based test approach to provide test assurance in support of our change pipeline. You may also support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.
What will I be doing?
- Work independently, or with a team of software and systems engineers; must be knowledgeable in industry‑standard testing tools and methodologies.
- Responsible for analysis of requirements and design material and the creation of test designs, test cases & procedures and identify test data, tooling and environmental needs.
- Responsible for working with test leads, fellow test engineers and other stakeholders in planning, executing and reporting on test regimes.
- Contribute to the scrum teams, participate in daily scrums, and be proactive on work tasks and obstacle resolution.
- Must be a dynamic, innovative, self‑starting problem solver that can operate with minimal supervision.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle and the different types of testing such as functional and integration testing.
- Demonstrable systems integration experience including integrating 3rd party systems or components.
- Able to understand existing test process and identify improvements and efficiencies.
- Experience of creating test cases based on requirements and design documents.
- Knowledge or experience with software testing frameworks (e.g. Katalon Studio, Selenium, SoapUI, Junit, DART, or similar).
- Knowledge or experience Agile workload management and bug tracking (e.g. Jira, BitBucket, or similar).
- Experience working in a regulated environment testing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills – ability to communicate with technical and non‑technical team members.
- Self‑motivated and willing to speak to colleagues to find out missing information.

Clearance Requirements
You will be required to gain UK SC (Security Clearance) for this role. To be eligible for this role you must have UK Citizenship and been a resident in the UK for minimum 5 years.
