The Role: As a Chief Engineer in Leidos, you will be immersed in one of our key programmes transformation of the UKs biometrics platform to cloud. On behalf of our central government customer, you will have direct impact on the current and future iterations of one of our most important pieces of critical national infrastructure.
The Chief Engineer has overall responsibility for all engineering activities on the project and is part of the project leadership team. Their responsibility and accountability extends from project start up through to operations and closedown and includes on contract growth.
The Chief Engineer's responsibilities include:
- Delivery and technical assurance of the solution within the quality, cost and schedule constraints
- Achieving acceptance of the solution by the customer
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship across the project
- Ensuring that the engineering processes are followed
