This role involves working closely with customers and suppliers to execute Systems Engineering activities across the full lifecycle, with a focus on Model Based Systems Engineering. You will support the development of a multiple award‑winning ATM system and work as part of an agile team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, product architects, and stakeholders to define low‑level/software requirements through requirements gathering and analysis.
- Conduct functional and technical analysis to shape the system design.
- Produce detailed engineering artifacts, including Engineering Plans, Process Documents, System Element Descriptions, Interface Design Documents (IDDs), and Safety artifacts related to ED109A.
- Prepare operational instructions/training material for software applications and supporting tools.
- Assist in the definition of product concepts and software architecture.
- Investigate issues identified during testing and operations, including problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Review test artifacts such as test cases and procedures.
- Assist with impact assessments for product releases or change requests in the pipeline.

Qualifications
- Full understanding of the principles of systems engineering and prior experience as a Systems Engineer on a major program involving acceptance and integration of deliveries from suppliers.
- Experience with requirements management software (e.g., DOORS) is essential.
- Background in software architecture within real‑time or safety‑related systems and understanding of the complete system life cycle from problem definition through to deployment.
- Experience in a software development environment and adherence to processes.
- Enthusiastic self‑starter with good attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of various software development methodologies and ability to work under schedule and cost constraints.
