Overview
Use your analytical skills to scrutinise spending. As Senior Value for Money Analyst, you will help to identify opportunities for financial savings and positive changes to improve services across the Leicestershire region. You’ll tackle complex projects that inform conversations with senior leaders, working alongside a team toward a shared goal: safer and more prosperous communities across our region.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months, in which you will evaluate and interpret information from a range of sources to draw evidence-based conclusions and contribute to work that examines the cost, effectiveness and efficiency of Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) and Force Programmes across £250m of spending.
What you’ll be doing
- Scoping, planning and delivering value for money work programmes
- Developing proposals for integrating the results of zero-based reviews
- Building and maintaining key relationships, developing trust and rapport with stakeholders
The must haves
- 5 years of residency in the UK at the time of application due to vetting requirements
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or have experience working to the same level
- Relevant experience in research, analysis, service improvement or performance audit
- Able to make sound judgements to draw valid and succinct conclusions that are clearly evidence based
