Join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit as our Regional Science and Innovation Manager and take the lead in transforming how policing uses science, technology and new ideas. Working alongside regional and national partners, you'll bring consistency, clarity and ambition to the East Midlands innovation landscape turning ideas into real-world solutions and measurable benefits. This role is fixed term until 31st March 2028.

You’ll be:

  • Coordinating and managing science and innovation projects regionally.
  • Championing new approaches and supporting others to turn concepts into practical outcomes.
  • Building relationships across policing, academia, industry and national networks to spark collaboration and share best practice.

You must have:

  • Experience delivering successful complex change projects from planning to implementation.
  • A proven record of improving efficiency and effectiveness with a passion for improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills, helping shape the direction of the regional innovation network.
