Support public policing through trusted financial management. We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join Leicestershire’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) to proactively support the delivery of a first‑class financial service ensuring accuracy, transparency and compliance with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
- Identifying new funding opportunities and assessing the implications of future funding projections.
- Assisting year‑end accounting processes and audit preparations.
Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 qualification or study and achieve this within 2 years of appointment.
- Previously worked in a complex financial environment with budget management experience.
- Well‑developed analytical skills and ability to respond proactively to financial issues.
