Become a key player in the Chief Officer’s Team. East Midlands Special Operations Unit’s Corporate Services team have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Business Staff Officer on a permanent, full-time basis, working at our offices in Nottinghamshire, in the vicinity of Annesley. The East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is an exciting place to work, where no two days are the same. As one of the largest collaborative units of its kind in the country, EMSOU delivers specialist capabilities on behalf of the five police forces in the East Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • To maintain diaries and fix appointments for the Chief Officer Team.
  • To view and manage email and other correspondence for the Chief Officer Team. This includes responding on behalf of the Chief Officer Team and answering any subsequent queries issues.
  • To undertake research as may be required by the Chief Officer Team on a regular basis, extracting information from records and files or obtain as necessary from internal and external sources and prepare such information in an appropriate format (reports/briefings) including Power Point presentations.

The must haves

  • To be educated to degree level or equivalent or to demonstrate the ability to work to this level.
  • To possess ECDL Advanced or equivalent qualification.
  • To demonstrate experience of scheduling strategic meetings, identifying appropriate membership and terms of reference, taking minutes at a strategic level and producing associated notes and action sheets.
