An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and expanding service as a Community Phlebotomist.

The Phlebotomy service provides venepuncture and near patient testing for housebound patients within our community. We have the below permanent positions available within Leicestershire and Rutland, working 30.0 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 14.00.

You will need to be a good team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work effectively.

The primary responsibilities for the post holder would be to:

  • Collect and process venous blood samples / various basic observations for house-bound community patients
  • Conducting INR / NPT within Trust policy and guidelines to house-bound community patients
  • Work autonomously and be a car driver and owner

The Phlebotomy service uses an electronic patient record system called SystmOne and experience of working on this system would be advantageous, however the required training will be provided to successful candidates.
