The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

You will work in a small specialist team which is part of the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. The core role will be working with Dysphonia, however there will be opportunities to develop your skills in working with Upper Airway Disorders (Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction and Cough Hypersensitivity Syndrome) and Dysfluency. Training and support is provided to develop these skills.

Therapy is provided in clinics in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. There are evening group therapy courses for adults who stammer if you choose to work with that caseload.

The Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service is a friendly supportive team. It is county-wide with good links with our acute hospital colleagues and supported by a dedicated administration team to provide a high-quality service to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We have around 30 clinical staff from Bands 4 to 8a. Our priority is on patient centred, holistic care and we understand the importance of supporting staff to develop their skills and interests., * To provide assessment and therapy for adults with Voice Disorders, Upper Airway Disorders and Dysfluency (optional).

  • To liaise with other professionals involved in patients’ care as appropriate.

  • To continue to develop your knowledge and skills, a process which we prioritise through a commitment to CPD in both internal and external training with protected time for CPD / professional reflection / mandatory training. Your development is supported by your annual appraisal and regular clinical and managerial supervision.

  • To work both independently and as part of a team, being part of regular team meetings and contributing to the excellent support network which underpins our Service.

  • To be involved with service / quality improvement projects / research to develop different ways of working to enhance the care we provide.
