This role is to be a specialist in the areas of Product Safety and Housing laws that are applicable to Trading Standards.
About the Role
To lead in the team's specialist areas, to supervise and direct a team of officers, and deputise for the Team Manager.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- Specialist knowledge of the legislative framework relating to Product Safety and Housing law
- Extensive specialist knowledge of the protocols to be followed to ensure the process of investigation and/or research is undertaken lawfully and ethically
- Significant experience in supervision, training and mentoring staff
- Experience of analysing data and reporting findings
- Substantial evidence of continuous professional development to a specialist level in law enforcement, legal process and regulatory compliance
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion. In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
