About the Role

Nottingham City Council is dedicated to preventing homelessness and improving housing options. We seek a motivated and experienced Private Rented Sector Development Officer to develop initiatives that prevent homelessness by promoting access to sustainable private sector housing.

Your primary responsibility will be to promote the private rented sector as a housing solution for those facing homelessness. This involves collaborating with private landlords, promoting the Nottingham Private Rented Assistance Scheme (NPRAS), and staying informed about relevant legislation.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to raise awareness and enthusiasm for new initiatives
  • Proven ability to plan and implement projects
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including report writing

  • The ability to attend forums and events
  • Good operational knowledge of housing legislation in both public and private sectors
