We are looking for someone who can
- become fully invested in a pretend tea party one minute and a dinosaur rescue mission the next offer comfort, reassurance and the occasional emergency cuddle create genuine, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues discuss important matters such as bugs, puddles, tractors and why leaves crunch turn ordinary moments into exciting learning opportunities sing nursery rhymes with confidence (pitch optional) embrace glitter, mud, paint and play dough as part of everyday life make children feel safe, valued, listened to and celebrated read favourite stories again and again with enthusiasm every single time laugh often, join in wholeheartedly and never be afraid to be silly, As a Preschool Practitioner, every day is different, exciting, and full of opportunities to help little ones learn and grow!
My main duties include: Creating a safe, happy, and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Planning and leading fun, creative activities that encourage learning through play.
Helping children develop important skills, such as sharing, communicating, problem-solving, and becoming more independent.
Supporting children's emotional wellbeing by offering comfort, encouragement, and lots of praise.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a strong team around each child.
Observing children's progress and celebrating their achievements while supporting their individual learning needs.
Encouraging healthy habits, including good hygiene, healthy eating, and outdoor play.
Ensuring children's safety at all times by following safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
Helping with daily routines such as snack time, toileting, and tidying up while encouraging independence.
Making every day fun, engaging, and full of smiles by bringing energy, creativity, and kindness into the classroom.
Being a Preschool Practitioner means wearing many hats-teacher, storyteller, cheerleader, problem solver, and sometimes even superhero!
The most rewarding part is helping children build confidence, discover new things, and enjoy their early learning journey.
