About the Role

We are looking for a personal assistant to support the Assistant Directors and Heads of Service in the Adults & Cultural Service Department. The department manages Adult Social Care, Libraries, Museums, County parks and Adult Learning services. The successful candidate will provide high quality administrative, secretariat and personal assistant support to senior managers, partner organisations, councillors and the public. Responsibilities include handling sensitive and confidential information in line with corporate policy and national legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver executive and administrative support to senior managers.
  • Provide effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Assure confidentiality and data protection in all activities.
  • Administer and minute meetings as required.
  • Maintain professional, diplomatic and tactful interactions.
  • Support the delivery of services that make a difference to people’s lives.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting senior managers within a secretariat or business support service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, diplomatic and tactful approach.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience administering and minuting meetings.
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
