About the Role
We are looking for support workers to deliver high‑quality care and support to adults with learning differences, autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. You will provide day‑to‑day personal care, promote choice and control, and maximise independence while working as part of our team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Commitment to high‑quality care that maximises independence, is anti‑discriminatory, and adheres to relevant regulations (e.g., Adult Safeguarding, Valuing People Now)
- Ability to use available equipment for moving and handling service users and support those with complex needs
- Effective communication skills, including engaging with service users who use alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, picture boards, signs)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, responding effectively to crisis situations
- IT and written skills sufficient to write and maintain clear, concise records
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays, meetings or training outside normal hours
