Salary: £29,995 - £26,409 (pro rata for part time – pay award pending) (£13.46 - £13.68 per hour)
Working Hours: 1 x 24 hours post per week (average of 6-8 hours per shift); must be able to work flexibly and participate in a staff rota that incorporates weekends and bank holidays between 7am and 10pm.

About The Role
We need support workers to deliver high quality care and support to adults with learning differences in our Supported Living Service. You will provide day-to-day support, assist with personal care, promote choice and control, and maximise independence.
No previous formal care experience required; we value shared values and offer on-the-job training and mentoring.
Training costs and enhanced DBS checks will be covered by the council.
About You
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Commitment to providing high quality care and support that maximises independence and adheres to relevant regulations (e.g., Adult Safeguarding, Valuing People Now).
- Ability to use equipment to assist with moving and handling service users and support people with complex needs; willingness to attend training.
- Effective communication skills, including engaging with service users who may use alternative communication methods such as Makaton, picture boards, or signs.
- Good organisational skills, ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, responding effectively to crisis situations.
- IT and written skills sufficient to write and maintain clear, concise records.
- Responsiveness to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service, including flexible working, weekends, bank holidays, and outside normal hours meetings or training.
