We are looking for two deputy registrars to join our registration service. They must be flexible, able to travel across county offices and work on short notice to cover holidays and sickness.
About the Role
- Register births, stillbirths and deaths across Leicestershire.
- Attest notices of marriage and civil partnership, issue certificates and schedules.
- Perform marriages and civil partnerships at approved premises and registered buildings.
- Securely store registration records and security stock at end of day.
- Carry out general office administration tasks.
A basic DBS check is required. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required due to travel requirement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Record and pass on confidential information accurately with attention to detail.
- Deal sensitively and calmly with the public, managing challenging situations and providing accurate advice in spoken English.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Organise and prioritise workload independently, capable of lone working.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and internet.
- Be articulate and confident in public speaking and clear speaking voice.
