This strategic leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering Integrated Lifestyle and Public Health prevention initiatives. The post holder will lead the development of strategic approaches that influence both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader system priorities.

Job responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and maintain strong partnerships with all key stakeholders and partners.
- Apply leadership, management, and direct intervention to deliver an evidence-based, accessible and effective integrated lifestyle service.
- Be part of the Public Health provider arm management team and input into other areas of delivered services when appropriate.
- Plan and drive forward training and partnership events to promote services positively.
- Ensure that systems and processes are regularly reviewed to secure sensitive customer data.
- Performance manage using credible and reliable intelligence data to inform effective management and service delivery.
- Establish clear and regular reporting for services ensuring outcomes identified in the service specification are achieved.
- Represent and maintain the profile of the service by participating in key steering groups/boards.
- Be a spokesperson for the services including public speaking and media opportunities.
- Ensure high quality of customer care and respond to comments and experiences.
- Risk assess potential cases around safeguarding and escalate as appropriate.
- Manage the communication and engagement strategy for wider services.
- Exercise control of budgets and manage them effectively.
- Report any issues or risks that may threaten delivery of the service.
- Be responsible for recruitment, selection, and performance management of staff.
- Lead on tobacco control for the Public Health Department.
- Inform the ongoing development and implementation of national and local strategy and action plans.
- Provide specialist tobacco control, smoking cessation and weight management advice.
- Deputise for the Public Health Lead Consultant when necessary.
- Lead relevant tobacco control commissioning across Leicestershire County.
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities to generate income.
- Protect and manage information securely, reporting breaches as per Council policies.
