About The Role

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly organised and analytical individual to join the Quality and Practice Team as a Business Development Support Officer. This role will support the delivery of ongoing SEND Reform developments by helping to coordinate, manage and improve the information, data and reporting processes that support services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Working alongside colleagues across Children's Services, Business Intelligence and partner organisations, you will help ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to inform service planning and improvement. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with a range of information systems, data sources, and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the collection, coordination and monitoring of data relating to SEND Reform activity and service performance.
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to gather, validate and maintain accurate information from a range of sources.
  • Supporting the production of reports, dashboards, and performance information to support managers, boards and partnership groups.
  • Supporting the development and improvement of systems, processes, and reporting tools to ensure high-quality data and information.
  • Building positive working relationships with internal teams, Business Intelligence colleagues and external partners to support effective information sharing and service improvement.

About You

  • NVQ 4 or equivalent experience in Business Administration.
  • A Level in English Language or equivalent standard of written & spoken English.
  • Experience in using computerised databases.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and software systems.
  • Experience of problem solving in a commercial/public setting.
  • Experience of workload management.
  • Experience in training of staff and supervising staff.
  • Experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to produce highly accurate work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, flexibly and without direct supervision.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
