This vacancy is an opportunity to work for the ESOL Curriculum as a Learning Support Assistant. The role will support the whole curriculum working alongside specific course tutors in delivery and development of language skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting learners to achieve their learning outcomes under the guidance of the curriculum coordinator and course tutors.
- Assisting with reading, writing, maths, organisation, focus, and physical support where needed.
- Working with diverse groups of learners in vibrant and engaging learning environments.
- Supporting learners in multiple venues around Leicestershire; may be required to work in more than one location.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
About You
- Good level of English and maths (Level 2 or above qualification in both).
- Some experience (voluntary or paid) in supporting learning in an educational environment or similar.
- Basic digital skills – use of emails and webpages.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under direction and on own initiative.
- Understanding of the principles of safeguarding.
- Qualifications, experience and knowledge relevant to the role.
