Overview

Be part of something growing and make a real difference. We’re building something new and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of it. This is your opportunity to join our expanding Education, Inclusion and Additional Needs (EIAN) team within the Children and Family Service Commissioning Service and play a key role in supporting how we deliver services for children and young people. If you’re highly organised, confident working with data, and enjoy being at the centre of a fast‑paced team — this role will give you real variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact.

About The Role

As an EIAN Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the team, keeping things running smoothly and making sure the right information is in the right place at the right time. You’ll support commissioning activity across education placements, inclusion pathways and alternative provision — helping ensure children and young people receive the support they need when they need it. No two days will look the same, but your role will include:

  • Coordinating and maintaining accurate information on education placements, provision and costs
  • Keeping systems (including Synergy and internal databases) up to date and reliable
  • Working closely with teams such as SENA, Social Care and Admissions, as well as external providers
  • Pulling together data and reports to support performance monitoring and decision‑making
  • Maintaining records relating to placements, IPAs and provider communications

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working with information and systems. The successful candidate will:

  • Have recognised academic qualifications (e.g., GCSE, A Levels, Vocational Qualifications, Professional/Further Education Qualifications) or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area
  • Be able to use multiple IT applications, including databases, to achieve objectives and analyse, interpret and present data effectively
  • Have experience of working to strict timescales and meeting deadlines
  • Have knowledge of administrative work and experience setting up new administrative systems
  • Be able to deal calmly and effectively with competing pressures and perform effectively as part of a team
  • Have an organised approach to work, with the ability to address and solve problems
  • Be able to present information in a clear, accurate and literate format and communicate effectively with people from a range of backgrounds

EEO Statement

Reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with a disability. We are a Disability Confident Employer.

Flexible Working

We are open to discussions about flexible working, which may include part‑time working, job sharing, term‑time working, flexible start and finish times, and hybrid working, depending on the requirements of the role and the service.
