The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in the Nursery.
  • To give support to other personnel in the Nursery and to implement the daily routine in the base room.
  • To liaise with parents and carers to ensure effective partnerships which support the development of all children within the care of the nursery are fostered; to respect the confidentiality of information received and to treat any such information with care and respect.
  • To assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the care of the nursery; to ensure that all aspects of each individual child's development are given full consideration.
  • Be an effective key person for a group of children, to observe and assess their development.
  • To plan, prepare and implement activities that meet the individual needs and interests of the children, identify and plan their next steps, monitor and evaluate.
  • Keep learning journals utilising Eylog and to facilitate moderation activities, completing progress summaries and assessments.
  • To develop a thorough knowledge of all of the nursery's operational policies and procedures; ensuring that they are followed and respected at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Child & Young People Qualification as defined by the DfE (Department for Education).
  • Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills at Level 2 (D) or willingness to work towards.
