About the Role:
- Tradesperson/Groundworker in the LCC Sites development Team to undertake a variety of groundwork and hard landscaping.
- Use trade experience to undertake a wide variety of groundwork and landscaping jobs across Leicestershire.
- External hard construction works including fencing, drainage, surfacing, and other groundwork operations.
- Drive works vehicles and carry out vehicle and plant safety checks.
- Safely operate plant and machinery including 360 excavators, dumper, roller and handheld equipment.
- Undertake site visits where required and feed-in information to support the production of estimates by others.
- An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
- This role is a safety critical post and, consequently, subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with our policies and procedures.
About You:
- To apply for this post, you must have:
- CSCS plant safety certification for 360 Digger/Ride on Roller/Ride on Dumper
- Experience and working knowledge of groundworks, fencing and landscaping projects.
- Experience of liaising with customers.
- Experience in working with other ground working operatives.
- H&S legislation awareness including CDM regulations.
- Working knowledge and understanding of groundworks including tarmacking, kerbing, underground services, drainage & fence laying etc.
- Good communication skills.
- Full Driving licence.
