Overview: This role will support the whole curriculum, working alongside course tutors in the delivery and development of language skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support learners to achieve their learning outcomes under the guidance of the curriculum coordinator and course tutors.
  • Work with diverse groups of learners in a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
  • Support may include assisting physically, helping with understanding maths problems, reading, organisation, writing, or maintaining focus.

Qualifications:

  • Good level of English and maths (Level 2 or above in both).
  • Some experience (voluntary or paid) in supporting learning in an educational environment or similar.
  • Basic digital skills, including use of emails and web pages.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under direction and on own initiative.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Have qualifications, experience and knowledge relevant to the role.

Additional information: Adult Learning courses are delivered in a variety of venues around Leicestershire. The successful candidates may be required to work in more than one location. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post. We support employees to balance their working life with other commitments where possible. This may include term-time working, part-time hours, compressed hours, flexible start and finish times, or home/remote working where applicable.
