Salary: £32,070 – £34,359 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

Lead and supervise the Care Service team at Waterlees Court to deliver high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Ensure services meet regulatory standards and promote person-centred care, independence and choice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents, motivating and supporting staff to deliver outcome-focused care.
• Maintain high quality services through effective audit systems, ensuring compliance with the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
• Identify and manage risks, including safeguarding and safety for service users.
• Provide written reports and risk assessments, ensuring clear, concise records.
• Support staff through mentoring, coaching and professional development.
• Participate in work rota, including weekends and bank holidays, and adapt to a 24/7 service environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post‑graduate level experience in a supervisory or managerial role within social care settings.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and safeguarding of service users.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to analyse information and make defensible decisions, and to implement audit/inspection findings.
• Commitment to high quality care, maximising independence and providing skilled handling of residents.
