A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer (Development Approvals) within the Infrastructure Planning Team in the Environment and Transport Department. We are looking for someone to lead on the technical approval of third-party highways and transportation schemes through the development process and to provide expert highway engineering advice as part of the authority’s responses to planning authority consultations for offsite highway works.
About the Role
This role will involve working alongside colleagues in the Development Approval team, providing technical expertise on adoptable highway infrastructure to ensure they meet current standards whilst facilitating development and encouraging economic growth. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have experience of managing your own workload and working to deadlines. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. In return you will receive a varied workload, the support of colleagues, and have an opportunity to shape the direction of growth in Leicestershire.
About You
