We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who has knowledge or experience in applying whole systems approaches. Our Senior Partnerships Manager leads on driving strategic change and transformation through our current and emerging partnerships, to improve public health and wellbeing of our population through movement, physical activity and sport.

Location: Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster – hybrid working is available, DN1 3BU

About the Role:

  • Focuses on how we work together; including learning and developing ourselves as individuals, organisations and collectively as a network of leaders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of leadership, learning and development within the context of whole systems approaches.
  • Developing GDM's leadership, learning and development approach.
  • Close partnership with Sport England, recognised locally, regionally, nationally and internationally as a leader in whole system approaches through movement, physical activity and sport.
  • Sharing our learning and supporting Sport England to disseminate understanding of whole system approaches.
  • Supporting organisations and local authorities across England and wider to support their development in the sector.
  • Excellent leadership skills to represent GDM by sharing learning and demonstrating impact.
  • Knowledge and expertise of leading and embedding methods to understand, explain and share outcomes with various audiences.
  • Ability to use findings, alongside additional data, evidence and insight, to inform and influence strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensuring fulfilment of monitoring, evaluation and learning obligations to The City of Doncaster Council and Sport England.
  • Ability to grapple with complex issues and translate this to support and lead multi-disciplinary teams on major strategic issues and programmes.
  • Experience of working and leading teams alongside Sport England, Regional and National agencies.
  • Work flexibly to provide support across existing themed areas while leading on new opportunities and themes.
  • Develop sustainable and innovative physical activity approaches to improve health outcomes in communities through an evidence-led approach.
