We are currently seeking to fill the position of Assistant Librarian at Leicester Grammar School. Are you passionate about reading, learning and helping young people thrive? We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Assistant Librarian to join our vibrant school community.
Working closely with the School Librarian, you will help create a welcoming and inspiring library environment that supports learning, independent study and a love of reading. From managing library resources and supporting day-to-day operations to supervising pupils, promoting reading initiatives and assisting with events and displays, you will play a key role in the life of the school.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a positive and flexible approach, and a genuine enthusiasm for libraries and education. In return, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving learning environment and inspire pupils to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
The position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for 37 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days plus a limited number of days during the school holidays to be agreed upon). The primary working pattern is 9:30am - 5:30pm, however, there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.
