The Curriculum Area EMES is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer to consolidate its 16-18 and adult ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provision. This is a maternity cover, fixed term role for 1 year from January 2026 until December 2026.
Applicants are required to have substantial experience of ESOL delivery across a range of levels. A proven track record of working with students of different ages and abilities, assessing their language level, preparing and reviewing their Individual Learning Plans and completing all relevant enrolment, assessment and progression related documentation, is essential. Experience of preparing students for ESOL Skills for Life or English Functional Skills qualifications across a range of levels, would be an advantage.
Applicants will be required to hold a full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one.
You must have;
- ESOL Level 4 Subject Specialist Qualification
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or the equivalent (e.g GCSE level C or above, GCSE level 4 or above)
The successful applicants will be required to work across at least two ESOL programme areas.
